This woman literally jumped out of her seat at dispense when she received these hip rectangular frames which will allow her to read her bible and again attend church. Her excitement was son contagious that all in dispense including broke out into a dance party!
Even our fearless leader, David Berumen, jumped in to help when dispense got backed up and gave this very grateful 70-year-old the gift of sight.
At this Clinic, since we're helping a lot of children, we have a very robust "Chabella" (pictured below left) program. This is a great pair of glasses developed just for OneSight that are a completely round frame. We bring thousands of frames and an even greater stock of lenses to make custom glasses with an exact match! Jimmy Weaver (pictured below right) has been our dedicated volunteer in Chabella land since Clinic began. To date, we've made over 300 pair of chabellas which accounts for roughly 10% of all glasses dispensed at Clinic. Thanks Jimmy!
After a long day of working so hard, we all manage to have a great time! Here's team reps from down unda in Australia and New Zealand including: Todd Palmer, Helen Binckes, Forum Patel, Lisa Walkowick and Alice Telford.
