Welcome to the OneSight Team South Africa blog!
In less than a week, our team of 40+ Luxottica employees, doctors and partners from countries around the world will meet for the first time with one common goal - to give the gift of sight to thousands in need in Kokstad, South Africa. This is one of 20 Global Clinics OneSight will be holding this year and the first of two in South Africa. Our Clinic marks the first time OneSight has entered South Africa and we're very excited!
Over the course of the two-week Clinic, we'll help approximately 15,000 local men, women and children see clearly. We bring 40,000+ pair of recycled eyewear and sunglasses and the expertise of our doctors and employees across Luxottica to provide eye exams and glasses to those in need.
Clear vision will give these children the ability to see clearly to learn in school and play with their friends. Clear vision will give local adults opportunities to seek employment.
